Senior Producer/Editor, NITV

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Producer/Editor to join our team at NITV. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality content that showcases the unique perspectives and stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Key Responsibilities- Produce content to budget and on time, completing call sheets, production manuals, scripts, and production schedules.
- Create budget submissions for productions.
- Identify and pitch ideas to the Executive Producer - Entertainment and Events, NITV for consideration.
- Produce within an internal and sometimes also external team, working with all stakeholders and across teams with different levels of seniority.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing all aspects of production including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Identify a slate of Indigenous community events for broadcast across the calendar year.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Explore innovative ways with SBS Media to monetize NITV's content through branded content, sponsorship deals, and other commercial initiatives, while ensuring alignment with the network's values and audience interests.
- Work closely with the digital team to ensure that content is optimized for digital platforms, aligns with NITV's digital strategy, and maximizes engagement with online audiences.
- Perform editing duties as required.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Producer/Editor who has a strong track record of producing high-quality content. You will have a deep understanding of the needs and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and be able to bring a unique and authentic voice to our content.
You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in production, with a strong background in producing, directing, and writing. You will be highly organized, with excellent communication and project management skills. You will also be able to work effectively in a team environment, and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
