Responsibilities:

Providing legal advice and support in relation to all of P&C’s legal needs, including but not limited to employment, industrial relations, work health and safety and workers’ compensation law. Drafting employer responses to legal claims and letters of demand and representing the client in the FWC, AHRC and Supreme and Federal Courts. Policy and contract reviews. Advising on discrimination issues and risks. Supporting ER in managing grievances and workplace investigations. Supporting the client’s WPO triage and managing whistleblowing complaints, which are investigated internally by the client but not by the legal team (not essential but a willingness to learn will be key).

Requirements:

8+ PQE working in Australia with strong knowledge of Australian Employment Laws and the Fair Work Act. Experience in contract/procurement drafting (highly regarded). Experience in enterprise agreement interpretation & enterprise bargaining support. Experience advising on Australian WHS regulations and compliance requirements. Experience working independently and cross-functionally. Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
