Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced lawyer with a strong background in commercial and corporate law to join our in-house legal team. Your responsibilities will include advising on and drafting commercial and client contracts, providing ad hoc legal advice across the firm, and assisting with legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on and drafting commercial and client contracts (both external terms and BDO terms)
- Providing ad hoc legal advice across the firm
- Assisting with legal, regulatory, and compliance matters
- Advising on employment law matters
- Assisting with investigations, disputes, and litigation (including briefing external lawyers where required)
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Laws and admission to practice in an Australian State or Territory
- Minimum 6 years PQE
- Prior commercial and corporate experience
- Experience in applying those skills to achieve practical solutions for the business, appropriately balancing legal risk with commercial objectives
