Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team at the Animal Referral Hospital in Minchinbury. As the Nurse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of top-quality care to our patients, and fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal utilization of resources.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and other departments to optimize patient outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing practices to identify areas for improvement and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning among the nursing staff.
- Participate in the emergency or surgery nurse roster as a clinical nurse, depending on skillset and experience.
Requirements:
- Cert IV Qualified Vet Nurse
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a veterinary or animal care setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of veterinary nursing practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to animals and their owners.
