Exciting opportunity for leading NSW Government department looking for a Community & Stakeholder Engagement Manager  for a 3 month Contract.

Role:
As the CSE Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing communication and engagement strategies across multiple areas of the organisation, ensuring effective collaboration with key stakeholders.

Supporting the following on Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2:

  • Arranging and facilitating meetings with the contractors Communications and Engagement team.
  • Finalising the Communications and Engagement Plan; Property Acquisition Engagement Plan; Business
  • Management and Activation Plan, and Aboriginal Engagement and Participation Plan.
  • Developing the Third-Party Agreement Plan to oversee the formal engagement of and negotiations with agreed third parties such as utility companies, major landowners and local councils.
  • Developing pre-construction communications collateral and managing approvals.
  • Meeting with key stakeholders including the project’s Community & Stakeholder Reference Group.
  • No Direct reports
  • Report into the Senior Manager Engagement & Business Support PLR.

Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality and political sensitivity in liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues with a high risk or potential public exposure and provide a managed response.

Challenges

  • Managing the effective resourcing of communication and community engagement priorities across the project.
  • Proactively identify issues of potential public exposure and effectively navigate through a politically sensitive environment

Main stakeholders

  • Internal - PLR Project Team and Engagement Team
  • External – Councils, Contractor

Requirements

  • Government Sector Experience
  • Show sensitivity and understanding when resolving clients
  • Stay calm in highly pressured environments and work through difficult issues
  • Be motivated and committed to achieving challenging goals
  • Assess information and evidence, in accordance with policies and legislation
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
