Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Lecturer, Educator Development and Recognition to join Learning and Teaching Unit, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.

The Lecturer, Educator Development and Recognition, works closely with the Strategic Lead, Educator Development and Recognition and colleagues across the Learning and Teaching Unit (LTU) within a tiered service model. In this role you will create and produce digital self-help resources and design and lead workshops and development activities that enable QUT staff involved in learning and teaching to develop their pedagogical practice, engage in evidence-based decision-making and expert peer review, and gain recognition through standards based pathways and programs.This position is based in the QUT Academy of Learning and Teaching (QALT) team in Student Success and Teaching Advancement and reports to the Strategic Lead, Educator Development and Recognition for career planning, development, and performance expectations.

What you need to succeed

1.    Completion of a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline area or equivalent professional experience and standing.
2.    Recognition as a Senior Fellow of the HEA and/or completion of a Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice qualification (or equivalent).
3.    Pedagogical expertise and leadership in learning and teaching, including demonstrated innovative curriculum design and teaching face-to-face and online at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
4.    Demonstrated research track record in the scholarship of learning and teaching, evidenced through impactful research activity such as quality publications and grants.
5.    Proven capability to work effectively across disciplinary boundaries including the ability to establish positive collaborative working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
6.    Ability to manipulate, analyse and interpret quantitative and/or qualitative data and information that contributes to the development of educational practice
 and/or organisational level policy in line with strategic objectives.
