About the role
As Resource Recovery Employee (Transfer Station) you will be part of the Resource Recovery team, providing resource recovery services at Council owned facilities. Your main focus will be on safety, customer service and equipment operation.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
resource recovery operations including collection, re-use and/or recycling of materials maintain resource recovery areas so that they are safe, clean, and free of impediments engage with customers in a polite and respectful manner operate a variety of equipment, including front end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, forklifts, and other ancillary equipment ensure daily pre-start site and equipment inspections occur, including notifications to relevant council staff when issues ariseView the position description for more details about the role.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent experience in waste management or other relevant field the ability to operate some or all of the following classes of equipment: LB (backhoe) LE (excavator) LL (front-end loader) LZ (dozer) high-risk work (HRW) forklift licence ideal provide customer service to customers and visitors of the facility monitor and maintain a safe working environment belief in our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadershipPre employment checks include:

This is a permanent full time position, LGE Level 11 with a base salary commencing at $73,444 plus 32.5% shift loading ($97,313) plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
