Join our Banking and Financial Services Technology division and work within the Engineering Enablers Environments and Quality Engineering team as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will develop and support our software products using a variety of modern technologies and be responsible for ensuring the quality through the implementation of effective quality assurance strategies and testing methods. 

In this role, you will design, develop, and execute automated integration, API, and UI/Web tests for our microservices architecture, while championing API best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of our test automation frameworks and design, and implement robust contract testing strategies. Collaboration with developers and other engineers will be essential as you integrate testing into our CI/CD pipeline, utilising tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, and Bitbucket. 

Additionally, you will work with cloud technologies like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and mentor junior engineers in best practices for testing and automation. Your proactive approach will help identify and address quality risks, contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.

  • Experience in designing, developing, and executing robust test strategies, testing frameworks, test plans and test cases
  • Strong experience with Java, JUnit, Selenium, Cypress, Perfecto, Python, shell scripting, TypeScript etc
  • Experience with continuous integration and relevant tools, using the Atlassian product suite which include Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jira etc
  • Well versed in containerisation – standards and industry best practice
  • Experience with system monitoring and logging tools (e.g. AppDynamics, Splunk, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with one or more of the major public clouds, AWS is desirable.
