We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Director to lead our Quality Engineering team of over 20 Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) and Quality Engineering Managers. This role will provide direction and leadership to deliver all software testing globally across Nuix, including System Test, System Integration Testing, Performance and Non-Functional Testing, Test Automation, Test Data Management, and End-to-End Solution Testing.

The successful candidate will be accountable for driving a culture of continuous improvement in testing practices that supports Nuix' software development practices and philosophy of 'always releasable' software. This includes high levels of automation and the use of modern and efficient test tools, frameworks, and practices.

The group will be accountable for enabling scrum teams to deliver high-quality software at pace, leveraging efficient agile principles, comprehensive testing methodology, and automation.

The Senior Quality Assurance Director will continually review and revise quality engineering KPIs to ensure teams and processes are highly effective.

This is a flexible working opportunity, however due to the leadership nature and need to interface with vendors, this role will be based in Sydney and require working from the office for a minimum of 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide direction and leadership to the Quality Engineering ('QE') team of over 20 Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) and Quality Engineering Managers.
  • To drive a culture of continuous improvement in testing practices that supports Nuix' software development practices and philosophy of 'always releasable' software.
  • To enable scrum teams to deliver high-quality software at pace, leveraging efficient agile principles, comprehensive testing methodology, and automation.
  • To continually review and revise quality engineering KPIs to ensure teams and processes are highly effective.
About You

You will be a seasoned leader with experience in managing and developing quality engineering teams within a technology organization. You will have a strong understanding of testing best practices, test automation tools, and testing frameworks.

You will be highly experienced in working with and managing vendor partners and offshore teams. You will have a strong knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS.

You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with functional teams both inside and outside of the Software Engineering organization.

Average salary: $180,000 per year.
