JLL has been appointed to be the property manager of North Sydney’s newest and most impressive commercial and retail precincts.
With completion anticipated in 2024 and preliminary construction underway, we're commencing the search for an experienced General Manager. The target start date of the role is October, and our team is highly experienced and will draw on the full support of JLL’s national, regional and international network.
What this job involves:
The General Manager is responsible for the pre and post PC setup, including the overall performance of the asset and the management team. Considerable focus is required on asset strategy and thereby maximising income, ensuring costs are competitive, and minimising risks to the Owner by way of managing and developing the onsite team.
This is a broad ranging management role with areas of responsibility including financial, leasing, EH&S, operational, and strategic business planning.
The General Manager will commence 6 months pre-PC and will be responsible for proactively liaising with Owners, Development and Building Management to ensure the successful transition and onboarding of this prestigious asset.
You will play a vital role in strategic planning and co-ordination for a whole of precinct management solution, helping to protect the interests of all stakeholders through detailed and effective logistical planning, stakeholder communications and management.

Previous experience as a General Manager, managing major office and retail assets is required. Furthermore, you will hold outstanding leadership qualities, stakeholder management skills, a high level of commercial acumen and superior interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. You’ll need the personality and standing to be an ambassador for the asset representing the client, JLL, tenants, customers and the community.
A demonstrated ability to add value to a property asset through identifying value enhancing and/ or essential capital works, as well as the achievement of sustainability outcomes will be critical to your success.
A Real Estate Licence is required.
