The Role
Reporting into the Support Services Operations Manager, our hospital is looking to recruit a full-time wards person to work on our night shift roster. The wards person will play a pivotal role in providing a high level of care to our patients while supporting the clinical functions of the hospital. You would have previously worked in a hospital environment, be motivated and able to demonstrate a high level of initiative. These positions will be rostered Monday to Sunday and requires an amount of physical activity and walking throughout the facility.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicants will hold the following attributes:
· Previous experience as an Orderly/Porter is essential
· Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients and staff
· Work autonomously with a strong decision making
· Excellent attention to detail displaying strong aspects of organisational skills
· Commitment to the high service delivery with a strong emphasis on WHS compliance
· Understanding of manual handling procedures
· Flexibility and adaptability
