Norwest Private **Hospital** is in the rapidly developing North West corridor of Sydney and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia. The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with an Emergency Department located in Sydney’s Bella Vista.

**The Role**

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and positive Administration Officer to join our friendly Administration team. This position requires flexibility with shift work.

The Admissions/Theatre Bookings officer will be responsible for:

- Preparing patient information and performing Health Fund eligibility checks for patients booked for admission.
- Patient liaison and communications for admission information
- Receiving and preparing patient admission and consent forms
- Theatre list management and data entry
- Liaising with doctor’s rooms for booking information

The Admissions Officer/Theatre Bookings Officer will fulfil their role within the team with the support of the Administration Manager and Administration team leader.

**What you'll need to succeed**

Essential Criteria:

- Previous hospital/medical experience
- Experience in a customer service role
- Well-developed communication skills to work as part of a team with a willingness to learn new skills
- A proven ability to adapt to an ever changing environment

Desirable Criteria:

- Some knowledge of the private health sector including health fund contract tables/member eligibility
- Medical Terminology
