Transformation Change Manager

The Transformational Change team within KPMG is a critical part of our transformation planning and delivery capability. The team has been, and is currently involved in, significant government reform projects, as well as driving transformational change projects with key Australian private organisations. In Transformational Change we work side-by-side with our clients to lead them on their transformation journey and assist them in navigating their way through to success. We help organisations design, plan, lead, deliver and assure complex pieces of work, and provide supporting activities pre-and-post transformation including organisational design, leadership capability, culture, and capability acquisition.
Your Opportunity
As a Transformation Change Senior Consultant or Manager you will apply your change management, project management, organisational design, leadership, learning and capability development and other people-program experience to initiate and deliver engagements to support clients embarking on significant transformation. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting KPMG Change Management Office teams ensuring that change planning, execution, dependencies and controls are properly integrated in large and complex transformation projects.
- Designing and delivery change management initiatives based on your previous experience leading change interventions and understanding of change management methodology such as ProSci
- Bringing together teams and capability from across our firm to work together to deliver major change projects and programs.
- Providing leadership to build the capacity of our delivery teams and integrating capabilities from across the firm, to ensure client engagements are delivered to the highest quality by implementing the right change management, learning and leadership development disciplines.
- Successfully deliver client-based transformation programs.
- Leading either traditional or agile deliveries based on your practical knowledge of primary methodologies such as Prince2/MSP and Scrum/SAFe.
- Leading complex system implementation change management programs drawing on your experience with system implementations for products such as Oracle, Microsoft, SAP or other key Finance and HR system platforms.

- Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking and analysis techniques to complex problems
- Experience in using the latest Change management tools and techniques.
- Enjoy complexity and ambiguity and bringing innovative ideas to deliver quality outcomes
- Certification in Methods such as PRINCE2, AGILE, PMBOK, MSP, MOP, ProSci, ADKAR and other change management, project management, or learning methods.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Background and interest in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Change management
- Organisational design
- Learning and development
- Leadership capability development
- Communications and engagement
- Portfolio, Program or Project management
- Operating Model transformation
- Governance – tactical, operational and strategic
- Training facilitation and training program design
- IT Service Management and Transition Management
- Specific HR, Finance or CRM systems like Oracle, Microsoft or SAP
- Understanding of state government structures and processes
Ideally you bring one or several of the following:
- Professional certification in change management, organisational design or project management methods.
- A higher education degree in areas like psychology, communications, human resources, or other degree or certification that demonstrates your knowledge in a field that underpins successful change management and demonstrates your ability to write and prepare documentation and deliverables at a high level.
The work you will do
Depending on your experience, the projects you work on could include:
- Digital Transformation/Change Management
- You will assess business readiness and develop change strategies whilst creating detailed plans supporting the people and behavioural aspects of new technology implementation and adoption
- Demonstrated experience working and establishing effective relationships with all levels of stakeholders while designing and delivering change activities to support business leaders and their teams
- Your experience may include practical involvement of Change models, Frameworks and Theories, including behavioural economics
- Organisational Design
- You will partner with clients to redesign the organisational structure of a team or company to create a high-performance culture
- Your experience might include understanding the drivers of change in an organisation and being across the shifts in operating models required to achieve high performance into the future, including structural and other organisational factors
- Capability Lifecycle
- You will develop detailed business cases for clients which captures the reasons for initiating a project or task. You will also develop documentation for Gate approvals within major projects
- Your experience will ideally come from the change side of Capability Lifecycle.
