  • Up to 12 months assignment with potential to extend, pending business and performance requirements.

About the Team
Join the Aged Care and Hospital Interface Branch, a specialised team dedicated to supporting participants in complex situations. Our focus is on individuals under 65 years of age who are living in or at risk of entering aged care, participants diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, those with terminal illnesses and disabilities, and participants needing assistance with hospital discharge.

About the Role
As an APS4 Administration Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the team. You will work within well-established policies and procedures, providing crucial operational and administrative support to help achieve the team's objectives.

This role involves significant interaction with both internal and external stakeholders, and you will be responsible for managing team communication, organising schedules, and contributing to various administrative tasks. You may also participate in research, analysis, and project management activities to support the team's goals.

  • Organise the team email inbox, calendars, and appointments, ensuring priorities and deadlines are met.
  • Research and respond to general inquiries, analyse documents and data to provide informed responses.
  • Coordinate and prepare meeting minutes, papers, and other documents as required.
  • Draft written communications and manage documents and databases effectively.
  • Organise travel arrangements and handle finance reconciliation.
  • Participate in project management tasks, supporting the delivery of work priorities as directed.

About you
To thrive in this role, you need:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience in the disability, health, or aged care sectors is highly desirable.
  • Case management experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
