Key Responsibilities
• Lead meticulous investigations of complex aviation incidents from an insurance perspective, drawing on your substantial industry experience.
• Critically analyse aircraft technical data, repair schemes, and claim quantum.
• Strategically negotiate claim settlements, leveraging your knowledge to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Deliver highly detailed reports that clearly inform insurers of their liabilities.
• Collaborate and build strong relationships with all stakeholders.
• Demonstrate and champion Charles Taylor Values by ensuring Agility, Integrity, Care, and Accountability and Collaboration.
• Ad Hoc duties: Your key accountabilities will include such other duties and tasks as allocated, at the discretion of management, and that are within your capabilities and the scope of your role.
Essential Qualifying Criteria:
• Proven track record of experience as an international Aviation Surveyor
• In-depth knowledge of the global Insurance market, with well-established industry network and relationships
• Demonstrated ability to independently analyse and evaluate complex claims.
• Possess first-class English communication (written and verbal) with exceptional negotiation skills.
• Holder of a current UK CAA/EASA/CASA B1/B2 (or equivalent) aircraft maintenance engineer's license with at least 5 years of certifying experience on any of the following: commercial airliners, business jets/helicopters, and general aviation aircraft.
• Completion of an Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of work experience in an aircraft maintenance environment. Managerial experience would be beneficial.
• Experience in aircraft structural repairs on large commercial, business, or general aviation aircraft, ideally including helicopters.
• Willingness to travel overseas frequently, often at short notice.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
Desirable:
• Additional language (s) relevant to the Asia Pacific region
