THE ROLE

is a key strategic initiative of the University with a national and growing international profile. In collaboration with Macquarie University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering, the programs aim to inspire the next generation to choose science and engineering degrees and career pathways. Macquarie University is the home of programs in Australia which includes all aspects of running the programs nationally. This includes but is not limited to coordinating events, training teachers and students, developing curricula, raising sponsorship, creating innovative programs to increase the number of schools involved and interfacing with partners from around the world.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering is seeking an experienced Outreach Manager to develop and set the strategic directions for the programs in Australia. This role oversees the development and implementation of the full suite of training programs, the annual schedule of events, outreach activities and initiatives each year. Responsibilities include developing and advancing the reach and impact of the programs both nationally and internationally with the aim of increasing partners and participants. You will oversee the progression of pathways between levels and work to assess, adapt and implement changes from LEGO and from USA headquarters into the Australian market to enable a coherent and sustainable progression of pathways for participants. A key responsibility will be to foster and build connections and partnerships with external stakeholders and industry partners to support the Australia suite of programs.
