Specialist Family Violence Practitioner

We are seeking a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner to provide case management support to victim-survivors who have engaged in supported accommodation services through refuge and transitional housing, and also provide an outreach family violence case management response to victim-survivors in the community.
About the RoleThis is a permanent, full-time position based in Coburg North, Victoria. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 5.
Key Responsibilities- Provide case management support to victim survivors.
- Make ongoing assessment of the victim survivors risk and needs from initial intake to exit.
- Provide local family violence response to victim-survivors in the community referred by external agencies or self-referrals.
- Assist victim survivors to access holistic support services and establish community connections, and where needed are assisted through advocacy with service providers.
- Liaise with service providers and identify opportunities for networking and collaborative practice.
- A current Victoria Working with Children Check.
- A current Victoria Driver Licence.
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work / Social Sciences or related fields (essential).
- Experience working in the family violence sector (desirable).
- Experience in specialist family violence and/or child well-being work (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience and skills in intake, case management and crisis responses.
- Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision required.
