Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at St John of God Health Care Raphael Services Geelong. As a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing integrated care to women, their infants, partners, and families experiencing perinatal and infant mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver innovative programs that provide high-level clinical care to consumers in groups and on an individual basis across various acute and psychiatric specialties.
  • Provide comprehensive assessment and care planning, monitoring consumer progress and adjusting treatment accordingly for complex management.
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to promote effective communication, including verbal and written feedback to referring doctors.
  • Familiarize yourself with legal and ethical responsibilities to consumers, visitors, and staff, including maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Experience providing group programs and individual therapy to child, adolescent, and adult consumers presenting with a range of concerns.
  • Clinical leadership skills and ability to undertake quality improvement activities.
