About the role:

The newly created role of Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of all departments including our Duty Managers, Supervisors and all operational staff. Reporting into the Club’s General Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Club’s GM, acting as a key advisor and 2IC. This is a hand-on position, for an experienced hospitality leader to join an Iconic Leagues Club Group, in which you will ensure high standards of customer service and enhance member experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a key advisor to the General Manger-Parramatta Leagues Club
  • Lead and mentor staff and duty managers, proactively identifying training and development needs
  • Identify opportunities for business improvements, providing innovative ideas to improve operational procedures and enhance member experience
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with members including managing patrons and member complaints in a timely and effective manner
  • Enforce all AML/CTF, Legislation, Self-Exclusion and member welfare checks
  • Oversee external contractors, security, maintenance of facilities and that WHS standards are met for the Club to ensure staff and patron safety
  • Update roster templates based on operational needs, to ensure efficient operations during trade and excellent customer service to patrons in all areas of the Club
  • Ensure staff and patrons adhere to all relevant policies, procedures and legislation

About you:

  • Experience in a similar operational leadership position in the hospitality industry
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Inspiring and influential leadership and management skills and experience in mentoring and developing team members.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic planning and financial reporting skills
  • Extensive knowledge of operations over all departments in a Club including gaming and food and beverage services, and all relevant legislation
  • Knowledge and application of security systems and Club Emergency procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of POS, and Clubs House Systems including telephone operations, lighting, air-conditioning, audio visual, etc.
  • RSA, RCG, Advanced RCG, Licensee and Advanced Licensee competencies
  • First Aid Certificate & WWCC (or willing to obtain)
  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in a management-related discipline (desirable)
