About the Role

Shape a culture of responsible research As the Senior Advisor, Education and Engagement, you will partner across OREI and beyond to deliver impactful initiatives that contribute to the research culture of the university.

Strengthen responsible conduct, embed compliance, and support new policy implementation - your influence will resonate throughout the research landscape at the University. Collaborating with senior stakeholders, you'll build crucial relationships that fuel impactful change.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing education and engagement initiatives to promote the Responsible Conduct of Research across the University, including, workshop development and delivery and educational resource development. Supporting the Manager to provide leadership to the Education and Engagement team, fostering a culture of high-performance, service excellence and continuous improvement Partnering with stakeholders in OREI and across the University, to proactively identify risks and opportunities and deliver innovative solutions that support a positive compliance culture.

Who we are looking for

You will need strong relationship management and communication skills to collaborate effectively and deliver strategic initiatives aligned with organisational goals. If you are an expert in managing competing priorities and ensuring high-quality service delivery with a focus on continuous improvement, you will make a fantastic addition to this team.

You will also have:

A recognised and relevant qualification and relevant extensive experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training in a complex environment. Leadership experience, providing guidance and oversight in a large, complex environment. Proven experience designing and delivering educational initiatives like workshops, presentations, modules, and online resources. Demonstrated understanding of challenges faced by researchers, including the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.

The Office of Research Ethics and Integrity (OREI) provides expert advice, guidance and training to facilitate the ethical and responsible conduct of research. We partner with Chancellery and Academic Divisions to support multiple key areas of governance and oversight including: research integrity, human and animal research ethics, gene technology, biosecurity and biosafety, animal welfare, export controls, autonomous sanctions, quality assurance and clinical trials.
