About the Role

As the Engagement Lead of MDHS, under the broad strategic direction of the Deputy Dean - People, Community & Partnerships, you will work collaboratively with the Associate Dean Engagement & Partnerships (ADE&P) and the Associate Director – Advancement, Comms and Marketing to develop and implement an engagement strategy aligned with the university's overarching Advancing Melbourne and the Faculty's Advancing Health 2030 Strategies. You will drive initiatives to foster meaningful connections with industry partners, research collaborators, and internal stakeholders while overseeing engagement programs and managing a dedicated events team. Your responsibilities will include:

Support the Associate Dean Engagement & Partnerships to lead the development of strategy and operational plans for engagement, including reviewing processes, budget planning and other operational requirements ().  Liaise with relevant academic and professional staff to identify needs and establish a coordinated, strategic engagement program. Manage Faculty priority engagement activities, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, to support strategic relationships for the Dean and advance the University’s and Faculty’s strategic priorities.   Manage the MDHS Engagement Team to deliver high-quality, impactful activities for specific engagement outcomes.  Provide expert advice on matters relating to effective university engagement strategies. 

Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing an engagement function and delivering events. You will excel in teamwork and collaboration, effectively cooperating with others to achieve objectives while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. You should possess strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to build strategic relationships, and effective communication and influencing abilities.
