As the Director Emerging Corporate, you will focus on businesses that are growing. Your opportunity involves a broad range of activities to support that growth, from funding solutions, insights, and a diverse range of products and services that enable them to build successful and sustainable businesses.
You will work with a highly diverse, passionate, and dedicated team collaborating with a variety of product specialist areas, Deal Structuring & Execution Team, Corporate and Business Bank.
As the Director, you will:
- Personally develop, manage, and grow the Emerging Corporate portfolio by proactively leveraging existing client relationships and internal/external networks to identify new business and referral opportunities to grow portfolio revenue and raise the profile of NAB Emerging Corporate in market.
- Identify segments/areas for future growth and deliver the commercial case for these. You will conduct "test and learn" exercises to prove viability.
- Be accountable for financial performance of the client set, including pipeline management, account planning, and origination.
- Source, compile, and present market, client, and product information/data which will be used to drive and formulate client plans - notably market information and trends, competitor information and trends, client behaviour, product metrics.
- Jointly account with the Deal Structuring & Execution Team for credit risk quality and transaction execution.
- Proactively monitor risk and assurance requirements within agreed Risk Appetite and manage non-compliance in a timely and prudent manner.
- Drive a customer-obsessed culture that delights customers and mentor/coach colleagues to bring out best-in-class performance.
- Deliver market leading NPS for customer journeys.
What you will bring:
- Your highly demonstrated diversified banking/financial services experience will enable you to take responsibility for full portfolio growth and management via penetration of existing clients and acquisition of new clients.
- Track record of managing complex client relationships with relevant experience working with mid-market clients across Corporate & Business Banking segments.
- Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of Corporate & Business banking products & services, strong financial acumen, origination and execution, pitch preparation, and presentation skills.
- Skills and capabilities acquired from prior experience within corporate banking, private credit, risk management &/or professional services.
- Drive efficiencies and effectiveness across the team, business partners, and overall value chain.
- Proven track record of quickly establishing and maintaining strong, positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders internally and externally.
- A commitment to strong risk culture, conduct, and compliance risk.
- Business related degree and/or post-graduate professional qualifications (e.g. CA, CFA) preferred.
