Together let's redefine retirement living for senior Australians.Location: Aveo Brisbane Corporate Office, Newstead, QLD – 5 Days On-siteStatus: Permanent full-timeReports to: Finance Business Partner – Communities   The OpportunityJoining Aveo as a Management Accountant, you will prepare and present timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis to Community Managers to support the effective financial management of our Aveo retirement villages. Working within a portfolio of QLD villages, you will thrive in developing positive relationships with stakeholders, such as residents & committees and by preparing village budgets, annual financial statements and quarterly financial statements. In this highly rewarding role, you will leverage your existing skills in delivering a high level of accounting standards to benefit Aveo residents and the broader business.  Your Impact:Prepare and present quarterly financial statements and ad hoc monthly reports to stakeholders.Lead the preparation of Annual Budgets in collaboration with Community Managers, Regional Operations Managers and Resident Committees.Coordinate annual audits and ensure financial statements are finalised within legislated timeframes.Leverage data-driven PowerBI dashboards to perform variance analysis and identify key focus areas.Ensure accurate GST coding and maintain compliant Balance Sheet reconciliations for allocated communities.Act as the primary contact for your Community Managers, providing accounting and administrative support.Build strong relationships with Resident Committees and assist with resolving financial concerns in consultation with key stakeholders.Why Aveo?Open plan Newstead Office, close to Bowen Hills train station, with monthly social eventsPaid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave optionsAnnual salary reviews and annual bonus incentive scheme Two (2) additional 'All About Me' leave days per calendar yearEmployee Referral Program and Employee Assistance ProgramDiscounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providersOpportunities for further career developmentJoin a growing, purpose-driven industry What you’ll bring:Degree qualification in Accounting or Finance, with CA or CPA accreditation (highly desired).Experience in a similar accounting or finance role (e.g. Financial Accountant, Analyst or Management Accountant)Exposure to Retirement Living, Aged Care, Property Management or Body Corporate legislation (desired, not essential).Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within Property, Retirement Living or Body Corporate ManagementAbility to deliver high-quality financial insights and manage competing prioritiesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and confident across other financial systems (such aas TechOne)Two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required) Who we areAs a leader in retirement living, with 30 years' experience, Aveo provides the stability and confidence to try new things and keep innovating.
