We're currently working on collecting image data that will be used to improve car-safety technology by tracking where you are looking inside a car cabin.This project will require you to sit in a parked car where you will perform a number of glancing actions (in a naturalistic manner) where we can track the eye and head movement whilst wearing various props such as sunglasses, facemasks, hats, etc. The data collected will be used for learning purposes to improve driver's distraction recognition technology for our client.**Please note that if you have previously participated in a Sassafras (Chinese) or MAP1, please do NOT fill this form as you are not eligible to participate again.To ensure a change in physical appearance throughout each session, we require some male participants to grow facial hair (the fuller the better) in the lead-up to the appointment. Mid-way through the session, they will be required to shave. If you do not have any facial hair, we may request you to put on a fake beard, provided by us.Female participants are required to come in with make-up on (eg. eyeshadow, lipstick, mascara, eyeliner, fake eyelashes, etc.) and for it to be removed halfway through the session. We do provide restroom facilities. PaymentEach in-car recording session will take just approximately 90 minutes, PLUS 15-20 minutes to onboard, sign in and out, be paid etc. Be prepared to spend up to 120 minutes for your scheduled session. For your time, you'll be paid $100.00. Please note: the incentive amount is in Australian Dollars. It is the amount for completing the whole recording session, not per hour. This is an in-person project. You must be able to attend our Sydney offices to participate.
