Disability Support Worker/ Mentor

Adventure Team is seeking to hire experienced disability support workers to join our growing team in Park Ridge South, QLD. We are advertising for a casual support role with availability to start immediately.

Since forming in 2019, we’ve grown from a team of 2 on the Gold Coast in Queensland to many, and we are in the process of expanding our services in Brisbane. We are a disability support company, helping people living with disabilities through providing mentoring, group and respite services. As a team we are strongly driven to help others and offer personalized services centered around pushing boundaries, building hobbies and routine, and encouraging adventure.

**About the Opportunity**

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and positive role model to support a participant in Park Ridge South, QLD. This is a casual mentoring role involving 1-2 weekday afternoon shifts per week, with the potential for occasional additional shifts.
Previous experience in support or mentoring roles is welcomed but not essential. What’s most important is the ability to engage in everyday activities in a fun and empowering way, while encouraging growth, confidence, and independence. This flexible casual role offers a competitive weekday rate ranging from $31.76 to $40.43 per hour (+ super), depending on experience.

As a mentor, you will be supporting our clients with daily living and community access. We provide support in a variety of settings covering a broad range of needs and we work to ensure we match you, your interests, availability and skillset to the right person.

**Requirements**:

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain before commencing work
- Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Current, non-restricted open drivers licence or non-restricted provisional licence
- Roadworthy, registered and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
- Strong verbal communication skills
