About Red Nose
Red Nose is Australia's national charity working to save little lives through research and education, and to support families whose baby or young child has died.
The Red Nose Clothing Collection and Recycling Program (RNCC) is a social enterprise run by Red Nose. We collect donations of pre-loved clothes and household goods to generate funds. Every dollar we make is invested back into our programs to support families and save little lives.
RNCC operates in VIC and SA and we are rapidly expanding in NSW. The Red Nose clothing collections team are a genuinely passionate bunch of people who care deeply about reducing waste to landfill, the re-use of preloved items, responsible recycling and supporting local communities to enable easy donating of goods.
About the Role
This is an integral role for Red Nose
In this role you will be out on the road collecting donated goods from the public, corporate partners and regular donors across Sydney and ensuring that stock is delivered, weighed and recorded correctly at the depot. You'll work as part of team to help keep our operations running smoothly and delivering outstanding customer service along the way.
This position is part of something very unique, built upon heart, soul, hard work and the formation of genuine connections by working as an integral part of a dedicated, friendly and inclusive team. Shortlisted candidates will be given the opportunity to meet co-workers, ask questions, and hear all about what working within the team means to them.
Full training will be provided for this role. Weekly team meetings mean you'll always be able to swap notes, catch-up and stay connected. Daily communication with your team is the norm, and no two days will be the same
About You
As the face of our clothing collections business in NSW, your ability to communicate effectively and build trusting positive relationships is vital. As this role communicates regularly with donors and other stakeholders both verbally and in writing, excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
You have a stable job history with experience in a similar role and can drive a truck for up to 5 hours at a time, as well as safely lift up to 15kg, for instance to load and unload the truck. You take pride in keeping your vehicle clean and you are used to conducting regular safety checks.
