**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Safety Professional to join our team as a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, working closely with our Services to help communicate and realise our vision. If you love health and safety in addition to coaching, mentoring, and supporting people to assist them in delivering their responsibilities, then this is the role for you.

Reporting to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team Leader, you will have a natural passion for safety, specialising in fire safety and emergency management, preparedness and planning while fostering and promoting a culture of zero harm in the workplace. Our HSW function covers the full breadth of WHS and you will be required to problem solve and come up with practical solutions that ensure compliance. You will be working 2 days per week in this role which will entail you to think on your feet and proactively find solutions to issues as and when they arise.

Within your varied day, you will:

- Provide advice, training, consultation and risk assessment on Health, Safety and Rehabilitation matters relevant to legislation;
- Manage and develop assigned projects within the WHS Management System;
- Undertake analysis, reporting and make recommendations against key Health, Safety and Rehabilitation deliverables;
- Undertake significant consequence incident investigations, establishing incident causes and provide recommendations for resolution;
- Design, review and conduct HSW audits/inspections to assess compliance to key requirements of the safety management framework and risk management systems, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

**About you**

To thrive in this role, you will have specialised knowledge of Health, Safety and Wellbeing practices, specialising in Fire Safety and Emergency Management. You will be solution-oriented and able to prioritise and multi-task.

With your positive and professional attitude, you understand that not everything will be perfect but you keep chipping away nonetheless. As an experienced manager of both cultural and operational change, you have realistic expectations and are able to take the business on the journey with you - through innovation, collaboration, and leadership.

You will have a passion for how things work, and a curious and critical mind that seeks to understand how we ensure delivery of safe, reliable and sustainable outcomes as an organisation. Being a natural collaborator, your ability to foster positive relationships across all levels of the business will see you succeed. We're also looking for your passion for safety and continuous improvement, as this forms the direction of our overall safety strategy and goals.

Whilst your technical expertise will give you the knowledge of how to assess, interpret and deliver on H&S strategies, you will be part of a dynamic, professional and fun team.

To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of:

- Degree qualification in Workplace Health and Safety or related discipline, or relevant equivalent work experience;
- Expertise in Fire Safety and Emergency Management;
- Ability to manage remote and geographically diverse sites;
- Current driver's licence; and
- Demonstrated experience in legislative requirements or minimum five years' experience in a similar industry pref
