About the Role

As a dedicated Health, Safety & Wellness professional, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about creating a safe and healthy work environment. The role requires expertise in developing and implementing safety strategies, partnering with operations teams to drive improvements in safety performance and culture.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with stakeholders, providing guidance and support to ensure effective risk reduction and compliance with relevant legislation. Your exceptional influencing and interpersonal skills will enable you to foster a proactive safety culture across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of workplace health and safety principles, with experience in self-insurance and injury management. A Bachelor's degree or diploma in WHS or a related field is essential, along with technical knowledge of applicable legislation and good implementation practices in large organisations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Health, Safety & Wellness Advisor to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our health, safety and wellbeing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety strategies to improve safety performance and culture
  • Partner with operations teams to integrate practical safety into decision-making
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on safety, injury management and wellbeing-related matters
  • Analyse state safety trends and provide insights to drive the achievement of the state safety scorecard
  • Ensure compliance with State Self Insurance Audit requirements

Requirements:

  • High level of influencing, interpersonal and coaching capability
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar advisor/business partner position across a multi-site business
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) or a related field of study
  • Experience in self-insurance (desirable) and injury management
  • Technical knowledge of applicable legislation, and good implementation practices in large organisations
