Operations Manager - Spotswood, VIC
The Opportunity
An opportunity to join Toll's key fuel distribution site for the state of Victoria, servicing up to 5 major customer. Due to internal movements, we have the opportunity for a Strong Operations Manager to join our facility at Spotwood, VIC.
As the Operations Manager you will:
- Primary contact for changes to the day to day requirements of the customer- Execution of contractual KPI's and obligations, whilst optimising production / operational outputs- Contribute to development of innovative operational systems, processes and standards across business portfolio.- Contribute to the identification of improvement of business and operating processes, work flows, connections and activities across the business.- Plan operational and workforce changes on a daily and weekly basis to ensure annual budgets are achieved together with sustainability in the highest standards of safety, environmental performance and customer service- Ensure that all duties and responsibilities associated with the NHVR and are fulfilled or relevant state
About you:
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and fatigue management as it pertains to the Transport industry, specifically including dangerous goods.- Strong customer service orientation - excellent understanding and strong curiosity about our customers and what adds value to them- Sound knowledge of personnel and operational requirements, relating to training and compliance.- Sound incident management/investigation skills - ability to determine root cause and implement appropriate corrective actions.- Leadership experience with minimum 2 years in a managerial or senior operations role, with demonstrated team leadership and decision-making capabilities.- Communication skills with proven ability to lead toolbox meetings and engage effectively with unions, regulators and customers.
