We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Risk and Assurance Specialist to join our Ravenswood Gold team in Brisbane. As a Risk and Assurance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and managing risks while supporting various committees and departments to ensure the continued success of our company. **Key Responsibilities**
- ** Risk Management**:You will be responsible for identifying and assessing risks and opportunities across the organization. As the custodian of the corporate and finance risk register, you will play a vital role in developing effective operational risk registers to enhance our risk management framework.
- ** Audit and Risk Committee**:Act as the secretary to the Committee and collaborate with the team to develop the annual audit and risk program. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and managing the top 10 enterprise risks to ensure the company's resilience.
- ** Insurance Management**:Take charge of the company's insurance program by managing renewals, ensuring compliance, making necessary modifications, and handling claims efficiently.
- ** Internal Audit**:Lead the development, management, and delivery of the annual internal audit program. Implement learnings from internal audits by amending business systems and procedures to enhance overall efficiency.
- ** Company Secretarial Support**:Collaborate with the Company Secretary to ensure the smooth administration of the Company, adhering to ASIC and legislative requirements.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
- Part or full certification in audit or risk management (CA, CPA, CRM, or CIA) will be considered a strong advantage.
- Your background in audit, risk management, investigations, or the management of insurance programs will be highly regarded.
- You have 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction, mining, or energy sectors.
- Experience in moderation or group facilitation will be an asset to excel in this role.
- Exceptional analytical skills and interest in systems, data analytics, and process improvement will drive continuous improvement.
- You have outstanding stakeholder engagement capability, allowing you to collaborate effectively with various teams and departments.
- You will have a willingness to travel to site, when required, to conduct risk assessments, internal audits and be passionate about building strong and trusting relationships.
- Your strong communication, time management, and organisation skills will ensure successful project execution.
- You possess high initiative, strong self-drive, and the ability to work autonomously to deliver results.
- Proven leadership skills with an independent thinking mindset and the ability to adapt to change will set you apart.
