Release Manager Role
The Release Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of technology changes to customers and internal audiences.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the release process from planning to deployment, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the journey.
Key responsibilities include:
Communicating release scope, purpose, schedules, status, and escalation of issues and risks while maintaining quality and integrity.
Planning and facilitating release activities across development and testing, ensuring quality and timely deployments.
Assisting in managing projects and interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence and release integrity.
Maintaining consistency of releases across sandbox environments, testing, and external test environments.
Defining and managing technical change control processes for release readiness criteria.
Driving continuous improvement in the release process through supporting Platform Owners to build individual release programs.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
Proven experience in Release Management activities, including presenting to Executives.
Expertise in Release Management across various environments, including legacy on-prem and cloud-based workloads.
Experience with Software Development Lifecycle, CI/CD principals, and DevOps toolsets.
Experience with software version control, branching strategy, and dependency management.
Delivered large-scale technology changes impacting customers and internal audiences.
Desirable skills include strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and leadership qualities, as well as a strong sense of ownership, customer service, and integrity.
