Job Opportunity

About the Role

  1. The establishment of effective controls and protocols to manage release activities.
  2. Emphasis on ensuring code release meets specified exit criteria for each environment and is aligned with testing and inter-dependent programs.
  3. Coordinate release of environment changes as required.
  4. Coordinate source code migration through various environments in a controlled manner.
  5. Maintain a close understanding of source code configuration management, branching and merging aligned with program testing strategies and stream test plans.
  6. Keep stakeholders informed including (but not limited to) a forward schedule of releases or changes, participation in key meetings, reporting and advice.
  7. Manage release meetings and ensure effective communication and documentation to relevant parties ensuring the release management process is clearly understood.
  8. Work closely with test leads, development leads and stream leads to ensure release management is effective and timely.
  9. Solid understanding of principles and practices associated with environment management and provisioning.
  10. Understanding of software development life cycles, including waterfall and agile approaches.
  11. Relational databases and client-server applications knowledge.
  12. Some experience with windows-based systems.
  13. Working knowledge of web, networks, web design principles, XML, Oracle, SQL and Microsoft products.
  14. User liaison skills and ability to read, document and understand business requirements and technical specifications.
