Initial 12 Month Contract | Potential for Extensions Melbourne CBD Location | Hybrid Working Arrangements Government Department | SOC & SIEM Security Uplift The Role: This Government Department is seeking a Cyber Security Project Manager to plan and deliver a security uplift to Security Incident and Event Monitoring, while considering options to improve the Security Operations Model.
The Responsibilities: Lead and drive the implementation of the Cybersecurity projects within the BTS Program of Works to agreed levels of delivery scope, product quality, cost, and timing.
Provide leadership in the design, development, testing and implementation of a new Security Incident and Event Monitoring practices and Model.
Ensure that agreed delivery artifacts (Project Briefs- Business Cases, Project Plans, Manage RAID Registers, Board Reports, status reports, etc.) are developed and maintained in accord with the prevailing delivery methods.
Ensure that agreed delivery ceremonies and events are undertaken in accord with the prevailing delivery methods.
Drive continuous improvement in delivery methods, collaboration, and delivered solutions.
Skills & Experience Required: 8+ year's experience as a Cyber Security Project Manager implementing cyber security uplift programs in both SOC and SIEM is essential.
Experience in leading the design and delivery of complex programs and projects, including expertise in performance, procurement, and contract management, ideally within a government context.
Proven strong communication, and negotiation skills to initiate and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate program and project management resources within complex change programs comprising multiple stakeholders, service entities and vendors.
Prior Public Sector experience is highly regarded.
