
General Claims Manager

**Job Description**:
Utilise your Legal or Allied Health Qualification & bring your proven experience in complex and/or common law personal injury claims to oversee Sodexo's general liability portfolio.
The role will involve strategic claims management in accordance with legislation & company policy and procedures, management of annual general insurance renewals and provide support to the Injury Management team with implementation of pro-active injury management and rehabilitation strategies.
**Duties**
- Coordinate receipt of claims and ensure timely lodgement with broker and insurer
- Manage general liability claims including development and implementation of pro-active general liability claims strategies
- Administer general liability claims, including maintenance of a general liabilities database
- Escalate increased risk, in timely manner, to assist with budget allocation
- Report & ensure legal compliance with existing and proposed legislation
- Schedule & participate in claim reviews with insurer, broker and other key stakeholders
- Authorise & process invoicing associated with legal costs which fall within the relevant policy excess limits
- Assist with development & deliver training associated with risk and claims management
- Monitoring service standards for key external stakeholders
- Liaise with clients, brokers & insurers for issue of endorsed certificates across all liability lines.
- Manage annual liability insurance renewal under supervision of General Counsel

- Minimum 3 years experience in management of personal injury claims
- Preferable experience in management of technical or common law claims
- Ability to read and interpret records associated with workplace incidents and duty of care
- Developed negotiation skills
- Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and competing tasks
- A desire for results and be outcome focused
- Intermediate IT & technology skills
