Seeking a Student Pathways Coordinator
The Student Pathways Coordinator is a member of the Academic Staff, based primarily at the Ridgeway Campus with responsibilities across Plenty and University Campuses.
This role plays a central part in guiding students in Years 7–12 as they explore their post-school options, including tertiary study, vocational training, and employment.
This newly created position is a full-time, ongoing academic role with a 0.2 FTE teaching load, commencing January 2026.
What You Will Do
The Student Pathways Coordinator is a key member of our academic community.
Reporting to the Director of Student Futures, you will play a central role in guiding and inspiring students as they explore their future options.
You Have The Necessary Experience, Knowledge And Skills To
Provide individualised career guidance, pathways coaching, and support for students and families
Deliver purposeful, future-focused learning programs in line with the Australian Blueprint for Career Development
Build and maintain strong partnerships with tertiary providers, industry and alumni to expand opportunities for students
Coordinate Student Futures events such as Morrisby Testing, subject selection and career expos
Contribute to the School's vision for student agency, readiness, and meaningful post-school pathways
Deliver classroom learning (0.2 FTE allotment) that models Ivanhoe's Instructional Model and supports student growth
Engage in reflective practice and professional growth through coaching, collaborative planning and shared learning that lifts team capacity and student growth

You are a champion of student futures – a reflective, purposeful leader who combines expertise, presence and care to help young people confidently shape their next steps beyond school.
You Bring
Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
Postgraduate qualifications in Career Development (CEAV-accredited and CICA endorsed)
Experience designing and delivering engaging career education content for young people
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to engage confidently with students, staff, families and external partners
Demonstrated ability to coordinate events across multiple campuses and ensure compliance with child safety and risk protocols
A collaborative mindset, personal resilience and a passion for helping students discover meaningful futures
