Y Schools Queensland Bundaberg Campus is seeking a passionate Pathways Coordinator on a Permanent Part-Time basis based in Bundaberg.

About the role

As a Pathways Coordinator with Y Schools, you will support the Pathways Lead in facilitating vocational and education training for vulnerable young people. Your responsibilities will include maintaining administrative requirements of Pathways programs, overseeing program delivery by external providers, facilitating classes, and working with students individually and in groups to promote their participation and progress in Pathways.

What will my time look like?

  • Facilitate job pathway activities and programs for students
  • Support the delivery of vocational and wellbeing programs
  • Build impactful relationships with students to support their strengths, passions, interests, and wellbeing needs
  • Assist RTO trainers in delivering academic and wellbeing programs
  • Help students interpret information related to career development and job opportunities
  • Ensure resource materials for career education are current and accurate

Am I a good match?

  • Hold a Certificate IV in Career Development or similar qualification, or have significant experience in Youth Work with relevant progress towards such certification
  • Possess a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate or be willing to obtain them
  • Have demonstrated experience working with at-risk youth
  • Can provide individualized support and action plans to help young people grow academically and vocationally
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the labour market, employability skills, and effective communication strategies for young people
