We're looking for a Night Manager, someone who is savvy and considerate — who takes pride in creating and delivering great customer experiences. Working with the Front Office Team, you'll be part of a team driven to succeed. You'll contribute to the service and quality of Student One, ensuring we live up to our reputation as Brisbane's Smartest Student Accommodation.

Key focus areas:

  1. Work within a dynamic team, contributing to the nightly operations of Student One residences on Adelaide Street, Wharf Street, and Elizabeth Street, while working to achieve occupancy and financial targets.
  2. Assist with the residential contracting process.
  3. Ensure the residence fosters a positive environment supporting a vibrant student community.
  4. Assist with planning, coordination, and management of resident arrivals and departures, visitor groups, and individual visitors, ensuring compliance with Student One policies and procedures.
  5. Coordinate resident services and welfare requirements effectively.
  6. Provide advice, guidance, and support to receptionists and residents, and direct them to student services teams as needed.
  7. Act as the escalation point for resident issues, including noise, behavioral concerns, security, and safety, following escalation protocols according to incident assessment policies.

Student One, Brisbane's Smartest Student Accommodation provider, opened in 2016 and has been offering smart accommodation options in Brisbane CBD ever since.

The successful candidates should also possess:

  1. A passion for working in a customer-focused environment
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and a core understanding of StarRez or an equivalent property management or hotel reservation system
  3. A passion for student welfare and safety
  4. A current Queensland Government-issued Blue Card to work with students (can be obtained at the start of the role)
  5. Proficiency in conflict management
  6. At least 3 years of experience in a customer-focused role
