Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and perform general administrative duties
- Demonstrated experience in, or the ability to rapidly acquire skills in the use of laboratory specific technology systems and databases
- Demonstrated professional telephone etiquette and excellent client service skills
- Demonstrated ability to collect information in difficult circumstances
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Queensland Health policy related to dealing with confidential and sensitive information
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, while rapidly adapting to new work environments on a continual basis
- Knowledge of or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of the Pathology Queensland patient information system (Auslab).
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work as an effective team member with a willingness to assist others.
- Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and use initiative to manage and prioritise workloads to meet competing deadlines.

- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
