The Role:
As a Senior Back-end Engineer on the Quantum Platform Engineering team, you will work with brilliant engineers and quantum experts reporting to the team's Engineering Manager. You will join a team that designs and develops a scalable, high-performance back-end system that forms the task engine of quantum computing at Q-CTRL.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Designing, developing, and optimizing scalable back-end applications using Python.
Building high-efficiency service-to-service communication using modern protocols.
Collaborating with product, front-end, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
Implementing and enforcing best practices for code quality, security, and operational efficiency.
Troubleshooting, optimizing, and enhancing system performance and reliability.
Implementing product features that promote architecture reuse across business cases.
Ideal Skills and Experience Include:
Technical Requirements:
5+ years of experience in backend software development with Python, Rust, C++, or similar.
Proficient in designing and implementing efficient architectures to solve complex engineering challenges.
Demonstrated ability to abstract solutions for reusability across multiple engineering teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to finding solutions.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional and agile teams.
