Job Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Full Stack Engineer with expertise in back-end API development to join a focused project team in Sydney.

About the Role

This position involves improving existing functionality and performance, as well as designing and building new features.

Responsibilities
  • Create systems to enhance functionality and usability.
  • Develop and implement features and improvements from conception to completion working closely with the software engineering team.
  • Design and build automated tests for the REST API.
  • Take operational responsibility for the services and code base that you will develop.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field of study.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Mandatory experience building REST APIs with Golang.
  • Experience working with modern TypeScript framework, preferably React, is highly regarded.
  • Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, developing large software systems, and/or security software development.
  • Favourable experience building Automated Tests with Frameworks such as httpExpect, Ginkgo, Testify.
  • Favourable experience using TypeScript.
  • Favourable experience building Test Automation Frameworks with Web Browser Automation Tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer.
  • Ideal experience developing microservices infrastructure.
  • Favourable 'start-up' or 'scale-up' experience.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Postman, and GitLab is favourable.
  • Highly regarded experience with graphing libraries and/or high-throughput real-time systems.
