Job Description Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Team Leader to join Service Stream in our Telecommunications team based in Ferntree Gully. We're seeking a Qualified Distribution Linesperson Must also have Telecommunications experience.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Ferntree Gully Vic

Reporting Line: Southern Regional Manager
About the Role

Provide leadership by safely managing performance of people, projects, and processes. This includes primary responsibility for planning, execution and closing activities necessary to successfully Build, Maintain and Decommission Optus Network, Uecomm Networks and Power Utility safely. Support other internal work stream. To ensure adherence to best practices project management principles.
- Lead a field workforce & sub-contractor
- Carry out Pre-works/Scoping activities including:

- Design and constructability review of work packs
- Pre - work coordination with 3rd parties (including council inspections)
- Performing a detail site inspection to identify start condition, scope changes and constructability issues.
- Coordinate all activities, including scope, timeline, quality and delivery.
- Responsible for ensuring that everyone that undertakes work for a project has the correct training and has valid licences.
- Supporting the works management system to ensure all maintenance activities are completed.
- Participate and where required conduct toolbox meetings; communicate policies, procedures, and practices to work teams.
- Assist in the development and review of SWMS.
- Ensure all work is completed to required specifications, standards and within required time frames.
- Participate of actual site start up (i.e., mandatory pre-start activities)
- Works in coordination with related 3rd parties such as landowners and regulatory authorities (e.g., power utility, council & transport).

About You
- Demonstrate a strong safety culture
- Hold a current Driver's license.
- Construction OH&S Induction Card.
- Hold MR or higher Truck License
- VOC to operate an EWP
- Proven Experience in the Telecommunications industry.
- Knowledge of Aerial ADSS construction and maintenance
- Qualified Electrical Linesperson
- Installation and removal of MEN Earthing and Power Supply Unit on Optus aerial network
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to respond calmly and decisively during a major incident or emergency.
- Ability to work autonomously within teams.
