The Team:
Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital, and the main tertiary referral centre for many subspecialised clinical care, surgery and procedures across Tasmania.
As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.

The Role:
The leadership and implementation of the local and integrated quality, improvement and patient safety program, consistent with the organisational needs of Hospitals South and in keeping with contemporary practice.High level leadership and management of the change and improvement agenda, supporting the local management team to achieve measurable improvements in the performance of processes they are accountable for.Supporting the Organisation in achieving accreditation under the national safety and quality standards.Promote a positive workplace culture that values respect, inclusion, and teamworkWork with the departments and craft groups, to contribute to service development and innovation across the organisationAttend relevant training, supervision, and professional development activitiesSupport continuous quality improvement and safety programs across the hospitalCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective health systems and models of careSupport the health system to provide high-quality, patient-centred care in alignment with RHH's clinical standardsSupport and contribute to clinical teaching and research initiatives, where applicable, with the University of Tasmania
You will need:
Extensive experience in quality improvement, patient safety and risk management in a health care setting with the ability to design, implement and evaluate holistic improvements.Comprehensive and current knowledge of, and high-level experience in, the health industry generally with significant experience working with a multidisciplinary health care team.Comprehensive and current knowledge of the relevant industry quality and safety standards and high-level experience in the application of these standards.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $139,470 to $148,863 per annum.
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
