**Salary**: Salary not specified

**Location Profile**:
Drysdale Primary School is situated on the Bellarine Peninsula, 25 minutes drive from Geelong, and is a well-regarded primary school with a current enrolment of 365 students. The school was established in 1875 and will soon be commemorating its 150 years. Its vision is to be a fully inclusive school providing the highest quality of education for each one of its students in their academic learning, their personal development and the development of their individual skills. Currently the school has 2 Prep classes, 4 Year 1/2 classes, 4 Year 3/4 classes and 5 Year 5/6 classes with a staffing profile of Principal, Assistant Principal, 21 Class Teachers (including part time staff and tutors), 3 Administrative staff and 15 Education Support staff.

To support the continued success and progress of learning across the school, teachers are involved in four School Improvement Teams for English, Mathematics, Wellbeing and Inquiry Learning & Sustainability. These teams lead the work of the AIP and Strategic Plan goals, to ensure the quality education of all students in an engaging curriculum program. There is a strong focus on the teaching and learning of Reading, Writing and Mathematics, with many opportunities for staff professional development in these areas, ensuring best practice in all classes.

Drysdale Primary School has a strong inclusion and wellbeing approach for all students, to support their academic, social, and emotional learning each day, with ES staff assisting the learning in classes and all aspects of the school. The school has a qualified, full-time social worker who supports the engagement and wellbeing of students across the school, providing proactive intervention to students through growth mindset, social skill and other support programs. Education Support staff are trained to lead an Oral Language Program to support the literacy and phonological awareness development of students across the school, as well as having two tutors as part of the Tutor Learning Initiative.

The school offers considerable support through our quality teaching programs at all ability levels. A high proportion of students achieve standards more than the state expectation, with many of our Year 5/6 students participating in the High Abilities Program each term.

Drysdale Primary School currently offers four specialist programs - Physical Education, Indonesian, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. They provide students with a breadth and balance for learning while complementing the strong focus on English and Mathematics.

The school is an SWPBS school including the teaching of our 5 School Values - Resilience, Acceptance, Integrity, Success and Enjoyment - and the Respectful Relationships curriculum. These values underpin everything we do and all the decisions we make. The school has a well-founded reputation for the quality of its personal learning and student leadership programs. It provides many opportunities for students to have a voice and be involved in extra-curricular activities each year. The school has strong connections to the community through the Drysdale Community Market and its Parents and Friends Group.
