About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, students, and other support staff to provide tailored support to students with disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate their active participation in school and classroom activities.

To excel in this role, you will require strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Additionally, you must have a high level of administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

You should also possess excellent problem-solving skills, enjoy working in a team environment, and be committed to the values and ethos of Christian education.

About the Team

The Learning Enhancement and Program Support (LEAPS) Department is a collaborative team that works closely with parents, teachers, and other specialists to provide learning enrichment and support for students throughout the College.

We are a forward-thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12, with campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South. Our College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or a willingness to study towards one.
  • A passion for supporting students with disabilities.
  • The ability to collaborate with teachers, students, and other support staff.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • A commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
