Workplace Assistant

**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking a Workplace Assistant / Facilities Coordinator to ensure an enhanced service across all areas of our Melbourne Field Services Hub. As a member of our small but valued Workplace Team, you will provide a mature, composed and professional service to both internal staff and our valued clients.

The purpose of the Field Services Hub (FSH) is to provide a base for our E&E team members who are working in the Labs or the Microscope Room, and to facilitate work undertaken in the field.

The Richmond office is our Melbourne Field Services Hub and consists of the laboratories, field vehicle parking, equipment storage and office space, plus our warehouse at Baker Street.

**What you'll do**:

- Provide support and assistance to the Workplace Manager
- Work with the Workplace team to maintain a tidy, safe and functional agile working environment
- Assist in maintaining a world class experience for clients, visiting staff and other guests
- Maintenance and purchase of general operating stationery, copy paper, office equipment and consumables
- Provide assistance with Field vehicles including vehicle inductions facilitating regular servicing, repairs and insurance claims in association with the Business Groups
- Coordinate field supplies as requested by the Workplace manager and assist business groups with field supplies

**What we'll love about you**:

- A current drivers license
- Ability to work fairly autonomously and don't mind being hands on
- Comfortable with new technology and able to learn processes and troubleshoot problems calmly and quickly
- Experience working in a similar role or in a servicing or facilities role with admin skills will be highly regarded
- Ability to have a strong customer service focus with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Sound knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- A self-starter who can work independently, but also contribute proactively to a strong team environment
