Based in Melbourne's World Trade Centre, Thales' Aerospace Mobility Solutions (AMS) business is excited to be seeking our next team member. In a 2-year Fixed term contract, you will be supporting a large-scale organisation that will offer you an exciting career opportunity as an experienced Operational Lifecycle Support Instructor.

As part of the transformative OneSky program, the role is an important contributor to the Civil Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS) Training program. In this exciting opportunity you will be hands-on providing specialist operational simulation and ATM dataset adaptation training analysis, design, training product development, delivery (as required) and training advice in support of the Thales CMATS Project.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the CMATS Operational Training User and CMATS Simulation Data Specialist solutions to support advanced ATC Controller training within a simulated ATC environment
- Support the CMATS Senior Lifecycle Support Instructor to analyse, design, develop and deliver the CMATS Data Adaptation Specialist User training and assessment solutions
- Support the CMATS Training Team in the conduct of simulation and ATM dataset adaptation training and assessment involving system analysis, design, development, delivery and continuous improvement of the ATC simulation training solution for the Thales CMATS
- Contribute to the CMATS Data Specialist and Training User training activities, including ad-hoc training requests, to ensure that the CMATS training solution meets or exceeds the CMATS Project objectives including efficient use of training resources
- Lead training for personnel who perform simulation configuration, dataset adaptation and exercise preparation and simulation training management activities in support of the CMATS

**Requirements**:

- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or similar formal training/education qualification
- Ideally Certificate of Competence (Aviation Simulation) or ATC/Pilot License or equivalent
- Aviation qualifications (ATC, Pilot including aviation tertiary studies) are highly desirable
- Prior experience in developing aviation simulation exercises for use in a formal training environment
- Prior experience in configuring ATM systems and interacting with simulation datasets
- Knowledge of ATM simulator operating platform/s including data, hardware and software performance requirements and experience in trouble shooting and resolving simulator issues
- Intermediate level skills in MS Office Suite
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ideally eligible for a Defence Security Clearance
