Our Federal Government client is seeking an individual to join their team as a APS6 Procurement and Contract Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage a diverse portfolio of contracts, cultivating relationships with both suppliers and customers.
- Monitor contracts, oversee extensions or renewals, and facilitate contract close-out processes.
- Resolve contract-related issues through effective problem-solving strategies.
- Provide high-level advice, support, and review for procurement and contract management activities, spanning from simple to complex contracts.
- Prepare approval documentation, including Approval to Approach the Market, Evaluation Outcomes, Approval to Commit Funds, and Enter into Arrangements; Contracts and Work Orders.
- Develop and manage Government contracts (both simple and complex) and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
- Offer policy advice to ensure compliance with relevant Australian Government legislation, rules, and policies related to contract management and procurement activities.
- Support timely and accurate reporting of financial and delivery performance.
- Effectively manage stakeholder relationships and engagement.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage issues as they arise.
- Maintain and update procurement records, generating reports on procurement and contract activity to meet departmental compliance requirements.

**Ideally, you will have**:

- Proven experience in contract management and procurement activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex contracts.
- Familiarity with Australian Government legislation, rules, and policies related to procurement and contract management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
