**About the Opportunity**
ASC are seeking a Head of Nuclear Capability Development. In this role you will contribute to nuclear capability building across ASC and the identification and delivery of a skilled workforce aligning activities with ASC's Strategy. You will be required to maintain a strategic perspective of the entire business and consider a wide range of longer-term capability development issues, opportunities, and risks to ensure ongoing business success.
**Responsibilities**
Reporting to the General Manager Nuclear Oversight you will be accountable for ensuring that the right people with the right skills and systems are developed and deployed to deliver on nuclear work scope. You will also assist the People & Culture Team with; defining, managing and reporting changes to nuclear baseline(s), program capability requirements (scope and budget), execution of training protocols and standards by programs, recruitment development, support the execution of the recruitment process of nuclear roles with support from dedicated P&C resources (and expertise for strategic workforce planning, determine interventions to meet demand for nuclear roles and stimulate future nuclear recruitment pipeline.
**About You**
Our Head of Nuclear Capability and development will have:
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or a related discipline (masters is preferred).
- Professional certifications or memberships in a nuclear field.
- Post Graduate qualifications in nuclear engineering or related field is highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior nuclear role (Defence, shipbuilding or energy sector is highly desirable)
- Strong knowledge of nuclear licensing and regulatory requirements.
**Eligibility**
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
