In this role, you will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of school infrastructure construction projects. Your keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills will be vital in maintaining project schedules and proactively addressing any on-site issues.

As the Post Approval and Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for managing post-approval obligations and compliance monitoring of projects. This includes analysing and evaluating compliance issues, providing recommendations for timely responses, and tracking project-level compliance to identify trends. Your role will involve conducting both desktop reviews and State-wide site inspections, offering expert advice on post-approval matters, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes.

**About you**
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Capable of producing high-quality reports and brief that reflect meticulous attention to detail and strategic insight.
- Provide expert compliance guidance to project teams and internal stakeholder, ensuring alignment with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Stay informed about legislative updated and industry standards to ensure that compliance practices are in line with most current requirements.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Degree in Environmental Science or Management, Engineering, Planning, Law or other relevant discipline or equivalent related experience.
- Willingness to travel.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
