In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of school infrastructure construction projects. Your keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills will be essential in maintaining project schedules and addressing on-site issues. You will be responsible for high-quality compliance monitoring against planning approval conditions and mitigation measures, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and government policy objectives.
Key responsibilities include identifying and analysing compliance issues, recommending effective solutions, and providing project-level compliance advice while staying abreast of emerging trends. You will conduct proactive desktop reviews and State-wide site inspections, offering specialist guidance on compliance matters to both internal and external stakeholders. Your participation in business improvement initiatives and policy development to enhance compliance processes will be crucial.

**About you**
- Ensure high-quality and timely monitoring of projects against planning approval conditions and mitigation measures to meet statutory obligations and government policy objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high-quality customer service and collaborative success.
- Ability to prepare high-quality reports and briefs, demonstrating attention to detail and strategic thinking.
- Proactive leader with dedication to quality and service, eager to make a meaningful impact in our organisation.
- Offer expert compliance advice to project teams and internal stakeholders, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and best practices.
- Remain current on legislative changes and industry standards, ensuring that compliance practices are aligned with the latest requirements.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
**Essential requirements of the role**
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
- Degree in Environmental Science or Management, Engineering, Planning, Law or other relevant discipline.
- Willingness to travel
- Valid driver's licence
